The original Adramelekh was created around 8000 years ago by the sun god Seh'ul to absorb the Rot, a dark energy consuming the world.
For centuries, she reincarnated, again and again, helping the church get rid of the Rot, eventually becoming a saint. About 40 years ago, one of her past incarnations was imprisoned by the imperial family and stripped of her sainthood.The current Adramelekh was adopted by Emperor Alexander Aulybrius, who discovered her flesh can heal others' wounds and torn limbs, as well as regenerate itself when exposed to sunlight. He uses her gift to endlessly heal his soldiers and the oracle Manon Renaud, who was born with an illness continuously attacking her own body.
Her only childhood friend was Leodagan, despite being a bit older than her. He is her older brother’s best friend. Isolated from kids her age, she has the mannerisms of an old man due to only being surrounded by Alexander and army officers. Alexander, being extremely controlling, doesn't want her to be "soiled" by external forces.
At around five years old, she witnessed Theodore Silverfall, the imperial executioner, beheading a criminal, and, fascinated, she asked to be taught the scythe.
She often started fires and burned maids, disfiguring them, due to not being able to control her powers as a small child. Maids would rather quit than take care of her. Amélie is the only one who accepted the role. Amélie eventually became a mother figure to Adramelekh.At age 18, she's finally allowed to reclaim her title as a saint, but only if she once again absorbs the spreading Rot, earning back the people's trust. She's the youngest member of the H.O.D. (Holy Ordinance Division), a military unit belonging to both the Ecclesian church and the Aulybrian armed forces. They deal with demons since the regular army cannot deal with Rot.Due to her upbringing, she is desensitized to violence and has a hard time befriending people her age.
She developed a big ego to protect herself from rejection from others.Adramelekh thinks Anamelekh is the most beautiful person in the world. They quickly become friends but clash due to their opposing personalities."Adramelekh" is not her actual name. It's a title. Her current incarnation does not have a name.

Leodagan is the son and heir of Theodore Silverfall, the imperial executioner and a foreign-born exorcist. While his father was always emotionally distant, his mother ensured he always felt loved. Traggan is the son of Emperor Alexander and the former empress, Barbariccia. After his father divorced her, Barbariccia was kept under house arrest. Lilith was from one of Adramelekh’s ribs. He was originally meant to be a vessel for Lucifer. However, he developed his own consciousness instead.
Lilith is naive, emotional and unstable. Due to being a literal newborn, he can hardly control the power inherited from Lucifer and Adramelekh.
He often acts needy around Adramelekh and is fiercely possessive of her, often reacting with jealousy toward anyone who gets close to her. However, when she isn’t present, he behaves in a much more mature and composed way. This is due to them both being parts of Lucifer's soul. He does not actually feel any romantic feelings for her, he only behaves this way because of the way each shard of Lucifer’s soul attracts each other.
All shards of Lucifer's soul are trying to merge back together and be one. But unlike Lilith, Adramelekh's soul was made whole by Seh'ul. Lucifer's soul inside of Lilith is incomplete and desperately trying to be whole again.
He especially hates Anamelekh, whom he views as a direct rival for her affection.
